**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Building Maintenance Team Leader, this position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing routine to moderately complex Building Maintenance projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

- Execute assigned Building Maintenance projects
- Minor Building Maintenance project design (drawings/sketches)
- Plan and coordinate project activities
- Interact with various stakeholders
- Coordinate and attend project meetings
- Track project progress and monitor all activities to ensure timely completion
- Act as SME for Building Maintenance at the design table for Major Capital Projects
- Assist in the development and evaluation of Building - Maintenance procurement requirements
- Liaise with the Capital Projects Office
- Participate in contractor management
- Facilitate building condition assessments to assist with the budget process
- Promote workplace safety through understanding of departmental Hazard Assessments and Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s)
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, completion of deliverables, schedules, and costs

**You Bring**:

- Post Secondary education in architecture, engineering or a related field
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or the equivalent of formal training in a recognized project management methodology
- Three (3) or more years coordinating projects in facility planning, design or construction, with an understanding of base building systems. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, project management software).
- Practical knowledge and understanding of Municipal Policies and Procedures as well as an understanding of Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulation and legislation
- Previous experience managing multiple concurrent projects in various stages of the project lifecycle. Knowledge of financial reporting processes, budget preparation and expenditure forecasting
- Expert level skills in MS Office
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision in a team environment, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative to establish priorities, and meet client expectations and deadlines
- Strong team leadership and ability to lead project teams to a specific goal
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within the department, the organization and consultants and contractors
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrating tact and diplomacy in order to establish effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Ability to formulate and coordinate plans for a variety of projects
- Ability to forecast and report on multiple projects in various stages of the project lifecycle
- Strong problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability in customer services, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, accountability, and flexibility/adaptability

**Additional Information**:
This is a permanent part time position (30 hours per week) and includes a comprehensive benefits and pension package.
