Our Operations team is currently working on projects located across the country from British Columbia to Newfoundland, with Alberta being the core of our operation. We are currently seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our team of professionals based out of Airdrie, AB.

As a Project Manager you will work as part of our Operations team to oversee construction projects from inception to close-out with primary involvement in the planning stages to help develop and execute project specific plans for the above ground storage tank repairs we execute. Prolium Project Manager will act as the direct manager of the Site Supervisor throughout the execution of the project and will coordinate the internal resources required to assemble the project team (Controller, Leads, Supervisor, Engineer, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of project budgets, schedules, and plans for clients
  • Work with clients and engineering resources to define project work scopes

  • Ensure that all resources required for the project execution are supplied to field work crew

  • Act as a main point of contact for client project representatives
  • Schedule and chair all internal project kickoff meetings
  • Monitor project progress and complete shift schedule updates
  • Accountable for each project being tracked and reported on time to client
  • Maintaining project gross profit margins within KPI expectations

  • Assist the Project Engineers with the delivery of project drawing requirements as they relate to the repair scope

  • Conduct site visits at project kick-off and assess construction progress and address any concerns
  • Participate in internal project meetings, providing technical expertise and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in the Construction / Oil & Gas Industry
  • P Eng. designation in Alberta, with ability to be/or are registered in other provinces
  • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or in a related field
  • Strong background with Inventor and 3D modeling
  • Knowledge of welding processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a very high volume of projects and deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience in Storage Tank Construction or Repairs to be considered an asset

  • Project Management Professional training to be considered an asset

  • Knowledge of API 650/653 is an asset

  • Knowledge of AMSE B31.1/31.3 is an asset
  • Valid class 5 drivers' license
