Director, Building Services

**Closing Date**: May 2, 2025

**Salary**:Negotiable, based on experience & qualifications; includes comprehensive benefits package

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week

**Reports to**: Executive Director

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent will also have the following additional skills/qualifications**:

- Computer skills; including at minimum a proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational time management skills, able to conform to shifting priorities and demands
- Good knowledge of building systems such as mechanical, fire safety, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret building drawings and plans.
- Experience with coordinating trades.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge or experience with capital planning and budgeting

**Desirable**:

- Be familiar with the Residential Tenancies Act and landlord/ tenant responsibilities.
- Experience with property management or capital management software.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage/coordinate the security/life safety systems in all buildings
- Coordinate the routine maintenance in each building.
- Assist with Capital planning.
- Coordinate delivery of capital maintenance projects.
- Contract negotiation for building maintenance services
- Assist with developing and maintaining workplace health and safety policies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 75 per week
