**Job description**

**General**

Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (North Vancouver) is a unique, boutique style property. We are looking for a maintenance shift person who will perform routine, extensive preventive maintenance and repair procedures on the Hotel building to ensure guest satisfaction.

**Description of Duties**
- Assist the Maintenance Personager in day-to-day duties
- Perform repairs of all buildings and equipment
- Clean and inspect pool and spa, treat water with proper chemicals
- Repair doors, door locks and closets
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
- Perform outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required
- Respond to guest maintenance requests efficiently and with immediacy
- Perform other duties as required

**Job Requirements**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 Year of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good skill in the use of hand and power tools
- Self motivated, responsible, organized and task oriented
- Fluent in English and good communication skills
- Possesses an eye for the smallest detail
- Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs of a hotel environment (including week-ends and holidays)
- Able to take and follow instruction with regard to repair work done
- Must have a good sense of urgency

**Physical Requirements**:
Physical Demands: lifting, carrying, pulling up to 50 pounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
