The Victorian Hotel, a 42 room lifestyle boutique hotel is actively looking for an energetic, individual to join our small team as a **House person**.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.

If you are interested in working in a busy, engaging environment this is a job for you. We’re looking for an independent individual that embraces genuine teamwork in a supportive and fun atmosphere and is rewarded for their hard work.

We are interested in hiring a highly motivated person who can work with mínimal supervision, displays great initiative, and is able to multi-task. They must be physically fit and able to lift at least 35 lbs. This position requires some weekend shifts as well as some afternoons.

**Job Duties**:

- The daily responsibilities are to assist the housekeepers in the completion of their tasks, stripping linen and towels, and providing a consistent level of room supplies.
- Operating commercial washers and dryers to clean the soiled linen.
- **Folding and replenishing towel and linen inventories.**:

- Occasionally assisting with baggage handling and guest requests.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures.
- Performing **basic maintenance** tasks in guest rooms and common areas.
- Ensuring that cleanliness is always maintained in public areassuch as lobby, hallways, stairs, parking lot and exterior areas.
- Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.
- Friendly and hospitality-focused
- Must be professional, and well-groomed
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience within a Hotel Housekeeping department would be an asset
- Must be flexible in scheduling
- Good command of the English language is essential
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
