**Job Title**: Developmental Support Worker
**Location: Hamilton, ON**
**Job Overview**: Agile Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Support Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Support Worker, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide support and assistance in activities of daily living, personal care, and community participation. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a respectful and compassionate manner, while promoting independence and autonomy.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility assistance.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to meet the clients' needs and goals.
- Implement behavior support plans and other therapeutic interventions, as required.
- Facilitate community participation and social integration, including supporting clients in accessing community resources, and participating in social and recreational activities.
- Document clients' progress and behavior, and report any concerns or changes to the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, and maintain accurate and confidential records.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or degree in Developmental Services Worker, Social Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities, and the ability to implement individualized support plans and behavior support plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid CPI or UMAB certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Seasonal
**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Licence/Certification:
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
- DSW Diploma/Certification (required)
