**Supportive Housing Program**
The Holyrood Supportive Housing (SH) Program provides a safe, supervised residence with staff coverage 24/7 for adults who require significant permanent support to maintain their independence in the community. The program operates in a 4-storey 63-unit SH Building and is run by an SH team of program staff providing daily living support to the 63 participants in the program. The Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, program staff, and service delivery of the Holyrood SH program. Supervised by the Director of Housing and Clinical Services, the Program Manager is responsible for creating a positive, safe environment for program staff and building residents.
**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee Holyrood SH program, maintaining collaborative services and continuity of care.
- Provide strong leadership to sustain a safe and respectful work environment through effective communication, team building, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to support staff and promote quality service delivery and positive team dynamics.
- Oversee scheduling and staff performance; evaluate, lead, and coach the Holyrood SH program staff.
- Ensure contract outcomes are met, and the program is providing high quality services
- At least annually, review program policies and procedures to identify update needs; ensure staff have training and skills needed to successfully execute duties
- Supervise staff and ensure appropriate coverage for a 24/7 program which includes managing the shift schedule and ensuring all shifts are covered.
- Screening, interviewing, and hiring of new program staff and, in the process, ensuring staff possesses the appropriate competencies.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, funder contractual obligations and standards, and GSS organizational and program policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Building Manager and Coordinated Access Team at Homeward Trust.
- Coordinate services in partnership with Homeward Trust Foundation Alberta Health Services and other program stakeholders.
- Will understand and implement a collaborative multidisciplinary case management team. This team will share the responsibilities of Case Management and contribute to this process from the lens of the area from which they have expertise.

**Position Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in a Human Services field with 3 to 5 years of direct experience in working in a supervisory capacity in a residential setting
- An open, accepting, and non-judgmental attitude with an ability to build rapport with clients and staff
- Strong understanding of mental health, addictions field, and addiction treatment, including available services and resources
- Experience working with people with complex life circumstances associated with substance-related disorders, mental health issues, mobility issues, and homelessness
- Firm understanding of harm reduction principles based on dignity, hope, and healing as individuals move forward towards improved health and well-being
- Clear understanding of client-centred care, trauma-informed care, and recovery best practices
- Understanding of harm reduction practices and how these practices are implemented
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong understanding of the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Inquiry
- Valid Alberta Drivers Licence
- Personal vehicle with $2 million liability insurance
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
- Current CPR/AED First Aid training
**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday. 8 hours per day.
