Our client is looking for a **Program Manager **for a 1**-year contract position.** **Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. **Remote work within Canada is acceptable.***

Program Manager will manage and coordinate several related projects to ensure they work in a coordinated manner to achieve the larger program objectives. Program management needs to address the complexity and inter-dependencies between projects that cannot be controlled by managing each of the projects individually.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Branch to ensure Projects are aligned, co-dependencies across project teams are identified and managed, and project teams meet timelines to address wait times targets, including:

- Support ongoing executive communications and briefings
- Support transitioning to align with the Governance Structure
- Developing and supporting implementation of resources to establish program management, including:

- Refining and supporting execution of a consolidated program management plan and budget for projects;
- Active development and maintenance of a communication plan for projects;
- Supporting structures for project leads, or supporting the project leads, to align, coordinate and integrate projects, and to ensure the shortest path to deliver results;
- Monitoring activities by project teams against the consolidated program management plan and providing advice and analysis to support project teams in managing the completion of deliverables, including stakeholder engagement planning and consultation, and change management strategies to ensure progress is sustainable and meets the planned direction as well as the needs of partners;
- Documenting and analyzing projects status against established objectives, milestones, budget and resources, as well as reporting outcomes to the branch, with actionable advice for project teams and senior leaders;
- Elevating and supporting management of issues that cannot be resolved by the project teams;
- Orientation and support for absorbing the measurement/evaluation stream into the Program
- Support to project teams for future technology planning that fit with the vision;
- Meeting regulatory and governance requirements for projects including alignment with strategies and objectives and the development of the policy; and,
- Developing reports, summaries, presentations and communication material and other work products.
- Supporting the branch to lead committees and support governance bodies throughout the project lifecycle.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated program management experience including managing resources and tasks in accordance with an established work plan; monitoring and managing program risks, issues, and dependencies; preparing and managing decision requests; and reporting program status to senior leadership teams.
- Demonstrated experience planning and conducting requirements gathering with operational staff, leadership teams and stakeholder representatives.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating activities, priorities and timelines across a range of projects ensuring alignment across multiple teams.

**Desired qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience in a role developing, defining and documenting business process workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in a role involving the development of a program management plan.
- Demonstrated experience in a role involving development of change management strategies.
- Certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute or similar certification.
