**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide strategic leadership for assigned youth-related and employment programs.
- Oversee program planning, implementation and evaluation to meet objectives, drive quality improvement and ensure long-term sustainability.
- Inspire and develop a team of professionals to consistently deliver excellence.
- Develop and manage multiple program budgets and financial operations to meet contractual obligations and financial targets.
- Build and nurture partnerships with key program stakeholders such as schools, youth-serving agencies and other community businesses to drive effective operations.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & Safey, work alone, enterprise risk management practices, legal and regulatory requirements and YMCA policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate and promote a personal understanding of and appreciation for the mission, vision, and values and YMCA programs and services.
**WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS JOB**
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling, Education, Social Work, Recreation Management, or related discipline.
- 6-8 years experience delivering services to vulnerable youth, the unemployed and under-employed, 3 of which should be in a leadership capacity.
- Experience managing multi-regional programs and leading remote teams is desirable
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, budget management, policy and program development and evaluation skills
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement competencies
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to dealing with the needs of participants from different economic, cultural and racial backgrounds.
- Ability to pass a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector and Child Intervention/Enhanced Security check
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

**This position is based in Edmonton and requires travel to other YMCA of Northern Alberta regions.**
