Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Site Executive Director - UAH, the Program Manager, Rehabilitation and Allied Health Services at the University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic will take a leadership role that is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient patient services. This portfolio includes: Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Recreation Therapy, Kinesiology and Therapy Assistants), Social Work and Spiritual Care Services.
Description:
The Program Manager is: Responsible for professional leadership, discipline specific provision of quality patient care, integration of technology, resource management and overall administration of the service. Responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of evidence based physical therapy standards and procedures necessary to embrace leadership and continuous quality improvement. Represents programs and division on site committees as well as assigned work in the Edmonton Zone and Provincially as required. Accountable for integrating the mission, vision and values of Alberta Health Services and the Site.

**Required Qualifications**:
Appropriate licensure with the Professional College. Three to five years in a health care provider role and a minimum of three years in a leadership capacity, with a demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. A global understanding of Site, Zone and AHS health system demands and issues. Demonstrated leadership abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching. Effective communication skills with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Demonstrated ability to manage change within a complex environment of shifting and sometime competing priorities. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within a constrained operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals while managing in a unionized sector.
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
The ability to manage several different services simultaneously. The Manager is accountable for a diverse group of disciplines and services working under different bargaining units and management agreements, with each group or individual staff member supporting a variety of clinical departments and Programs across the site.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
A Baccalaureate Degree in a rehabilitation therapy discipline and a Post Graduate degree is preferred.
