**Job Description**:
The Lead Hand plays an important leadership role in the Material and Inventory department. He works in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for overseeing all areas of the YYZ stores department. This person gives direction, assists in training new employees and directly supports the Director of Technical procurement.
- Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high safety and warehousing standards;
- Oversees and directs the daily work in support of the Director of Technical procurement;
- Leads and contributes to the team and the company in a positive way;
- Takes action to correct any issues and to make improvements;
- Lead the department to meet targets and goals;
- Performs warehousing tasks to support receiving, shipping and other related duties;
- Assist in resolving problems/conflicts occurring during daily operations;
- Responsible for time sensitive reports and tools calibration reports;
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry and Aircraft part management;
- Experience as lead hand will be an asset;
- Valid Driver’s Licence;
- Valid Forklift Licence;
- Valid Airport Drivers Licence (DA);
- Restricted area airport pass (RAIC);
- Dangerous goods qualified;
- Fluent in English, oral and written;
- Knowledge in AMOS, Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (leadership skills);
- Ability to make decisions under stress;
- Ability to share knowledge and train people.
