Are you a person who is a self-starter, with a passion for working with a growing non-profit organization that supports Indigenous peoples experiencing homelessness? The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society (ACEHS) is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Culturally Aligned Integrated Support (CAIS) Framework Manager** **to develop, implement and evaluate an Indigenous led and designed CAIS 3 year Pilot Program for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples as part of the provincial Integrated Support Framework, which is under development. The overall objectives of CAIS are to develop a model that can be tailored and localized in other communities with the overarching goal to reduce and prevent homelessness while providing holistic wrap-around services.

**Position Type**: Full time, 30 hours per week

**Salary Range**:$25.00/ hour. This position qualifies for fully funded benefits.

**Deliverables**
- Communicate with individuals, professionals, colleagues, and organizations regarding any CAIS related programs, when needed.
- Assist the CAIS manager in administrative tasks.

Taking minutes during meetings and provide support with writing reports.
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
- Organize, coordinate, and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Enter and track data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to and provide support for technical issues when needed.
- Support CAIS team members with administrative tasks when required.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of the BC healthcare system and experience working in a primary healthcare setting or experience working with physicians and/or allied health care providers preferred.
- Experience in community development will be considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred

**Knowledge and Abilities**:
- Ability to work respectfully, knowledgeably, and effectively with partners and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people, adapting to cultural uniqueness to create a sense of safety for all.
- Knowledge of providing culturally and trauma informed care.
- Knowledge of health-related issues affecting Indigenous peoples.
- Strong project management, program development and strategic and operational planning skills.
- Demonstrated experience in health system improvement and change management.
- Excellent organizational, and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability in generating reports
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of medical, clinical, and administrative professionals.
- Ability to work independently, multi task, and adaptable to various competing demands.
- Ability to multi-task and balance priorities within tight timelines.
- Demonstrated understanding of local, regional, and provincial Primary Care.
- Ability to learn from other leaders and elders, modelling the vision and encouraging others to commit to and champion the vision - inspiring others into new ways of working together to provide excellent primary care.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills (Microsoft office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat).
- Understanding of the intergenerational trauma that occurs because of colonization, Residential Schools, Sixties Scoop, and other oppressive systems as well as the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
- Ability to work in a holistic, professional, and non-judgmental manner as you are working with a broad range of personalities, needs, cultures, lived experiences and abilities.
