Logistics Coordinator/ Dispatcher

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dispatch Coordination**:

- Schedule and assign drivers for final mile deliveries based on route optimization, workload, and delivery priorities.
- Monitor driver locations, traffic patterns, and delivery times to ensure timely and efficient parcel delivery.
- Track parcel progress and communicate real-time updates to customers and operations team.
- **Customer Communication**:

- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to delivery delays, parcel status, and driver locations.
- Provide accurate ETAs to customers, addressing any specific delivery needs or instructions.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive, clear, and courteous communication.
- **Driver Support and Management**:

- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, assisting with route guidance, troubleshooting issues, and providing necessary information for smooth operations.
- Track driver compliance with company policies, including delivery standards, safety protocols, and proper parcel handling.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure drivers are equipped with the correct parcels and delivery instructions.
- **Operational Reporting and Analysis**:

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including successful deliveries, missed deliveries, and any issues encountered.
- Generate regular reports to assess operational efficiency, on-time performance, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize data to recommend improvements to route efficiency, driver management, and customer experience.
- **Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution**:

- Proactively address any logístical challenges, including route adjustments for traffic delays, unexpected parcel volumes, or driver shortages.
- Resolve on-the-spot delivery challenges by coordinating with drivers, customers, and operations teams.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation, preferably in final mile delivery operations is strongly required.
- **Skills**:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple drivers and delivery routes.
- Proficient in logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Excel for reporting and data management.
- Excellent communication skills for both customer service and driver coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
- **Availability**: Flexible scheduling to accommodate early morning, evening, or weekend shifts as required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.40-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
