Marco is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator for our expanding team. We are looking for someone with experience in commercial and industrial recruitment to support our projects in Atlantic Canada. Building facilities that support critical services in our communities is important to us, and we want the Human Resources Coordinator to share the same passion.

As a support role on the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and onboarding for Marco’s commercial and industrial divisions and providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources. The HR Coordinator will ensure that Marco’s recruitment strategy is conducted proactively to provide timely support to operations by working closely with Senior Leadership and Marketing to develop innovative recruitment strategies that build experienced talent pipelines. In addition, they will facilitate the onboarding program so that all new employees are provided with an orientation that meets Marco's standards. This position will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and work closely with Marco’s Leadership team members.

**The Role**

Recruitment
- Facilitate full-cycle recruitment so Marco has a strong talent pipeline including; creating and posting positions on various social platforms, prescreening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Ensure timely entry and maintenance of the applicant tracking system
- Draft offers of employment and update existing employment contracts
- Manage the student recruitment efforts for the organization
- Attend job fairs and post-secondary institutes to facilitate recruitment initiatives
- Manage Marco’s employee referral program
- Conduct exit interviews and report trends to HR Director

Onboarding
- Facilitate and conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Work with new hires to complete onboarding documents and ensures all required documentation is submitted to payroll promptly
- Coordinate the logístical requirements for the project onboarding of Marco employees including; code of conduct, medicals, alcohol and drug tests, etc.
- Ensure all required training certifications are received and valid before the mobilization of Marco employees
- Update onboarding documents in our HRIS system

Administrative
- Timely management of human resources records
- Collect education, training and professional development documentation for all employees and maintain the employee training database
- Update employee information in Marco’s HRIS system
- Facilitate Marco’s Charity and Community program
- Assist with Marco’s Wellness program

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business or humanities
- CPHR designation or working towards
