Maintenance Technician - Role and Responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled, independent and self-motivated Maintenance Technician (Small Engine) to provide the preservation, functionality, and improvement of primarily small engine equipment and also assistance in equipment related to our production facility. Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to: - Small engine technician to assist in maintaining and repairing insulation blowing machine equipment (Krendl, Meyer, and Cool Machines) approx. 80% of duties; Company can provide initial training - Ability to troubleshoot machine and small engine systems, trace broken wires, minor issues independently - Assist in repairing and maintaining larger equipment or machinery like Bobcats, lift trucks - Provide assistance to primary maintenance technician in maintaining and repairing manufacturing plant equipment approx. 20% of duties - Work with small diesel engines, minor welding knowledge, cleaning internals of Bobcat equipment, lubrication of equipment - Control and be responsible for the quality and quantity of product produced according to company quality systems (ISO 9001:2015), processes and procedures - Monitor, measure and report on maintenance and preventative maintenance issues - Ensure that Health and Safety policies and procedures are complied with during shift and that all matters pertaining to this are handled according to company and Provincial standards - Ensure that training requirements are met - Practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean work environment - Solve problems relating to production processes wherever possible - Maintain high level of timekeeping, performing duties efficiently and responsibly - Communicate well with all relevant departments and key personnelExperience and Education Requirements/Position Requirements - Provincial Certificate of Qualification for Industrial Electrician - Working knowledge of gear boxes, pneumatics, hydraulics and cylinders - Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively - Willing to work at elevated heights occasionally - Understanding of forklift/Bobcat repair - Ability to meet deadlines - Problem solving and effective communication is key - Must be able to lift and move items over 50lbs safely when necessary - 5 years + experience - Knowledge of basic database required - Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills - Punctual and Reliable - Access to reliable transportation in order to arrive to work Working Conditions: - Production facility, warehouse facility; occasional outdoors if truck is too large to be moved indoors - Ability to lift =/< 50lbs - Ability to stand for 6-8 hours/shift and full motor movement to operate all work centers - This is a full time hourly position that requires occasional flexibility to work additional hours if necessary to complete critical goals; Occasional Saturdays required Salary, Benefits, and Vacations Competitive wage and year end bonus based on work performance provided; Group health benefits 50/50 provided; Company events and certain work clothes provided. 2 weeks vacation after successful 3 month probation period How to Apply **Salary**: $28.00-$32.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Etobicoke, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Main
