We are seeking an experienced Event Security Specialist to join our team at Control Risks. As an Event Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' events.

**This position is a 6-month role.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Support Client event security team in the execution of safe,
- secure and successful events, ranging from large internal (non
- public) Client events to large marquee public events
- Conduct desktop or in-person assessment of venues in Toronto /
- Toronto area, with the possibility of conducting some limited
- assessments at other locations in Canada
- Provide security requirements with regards to floor plan design for
- different events
- Develop event security protocols, in collaboration with Client and
- vendor stakeholder groups
- Develop event-specific issues management playbook
- Where feasible and at the discretion of Client, support the build
- out of elements of the broader corporate program, including but
- not limited to executive protection and travel risk management
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- 5-7 years of experience in government, corporate security or a similar role
- Event security or close protection experience
- Ability to understand and mitigate threat-related considerations in various event settings
- Ability to provide measured and timely guidance under pressure
