Receptionist

Looking for a bright and cheerful individual with empathy and understanding for people to work a receptionist position at a busy retirement home.
**Duties**:
- To welcome, monitor and control as appropriate all persons entering Thorncliffe Place
- Screen all visitors for COVID-19 and ensure compliance of Safety Regulations
- Answering telephones and directing calls
- To act as an assistant to the charge person and department managers.
- Maintain and provide forms and files for residents, administration and personnel records.
- Maintain resident lists, staff lists, and other such items
- Prepare service requests and monitor the timely completion
- Receive and distribute mail and prepare items for mail or couriers
Qualifications:
- Must have office skills, for example, typing, clerical, filing, telephone and interpersonal skills.
- Should be familiar with the use of personal computers and operational software such as Microsoft office.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English and follow oral and written directions.
- Demonstrates a high standard of ethics and confidentiality.
- Shows initiative and is able to work independently.
- Professional demeanor is essential.
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
Hours include days, evenings and weekends.
