Join Our Team as a Business Development Manager Digital at Epiroc
Your Mission:
- The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth through the identification, development, and execution of new business opportunities in the digital solutions space. This role focuses on expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and developing go-to-market strategies that position the company’s digital products as innovative, customer-centric solutions. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to analyze market trends, define value propositions, and deliver tailored offerings that meet client needs. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and a strong understanding of digital technologies and emerging market opportunities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for digital solutions within the mining sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mining customers, OEM partners, and key industry stakeholders to drive adoption of digital technologies.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to align customer needs with product roadmaps and solution offerings.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for digital products, including value propositions, and sales campaigns.
- Conduct market research to assess trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in mining digitalization.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations of digital solutions to customers and industry partners.
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Support pilot projects, proof-of-concepts, and implementation plans to validate digital product value in mining operations.
- Track and report on business development activities, pipeline growth, and revenue targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote digital product offerings.
- Provide feedback and insights to internal teams to support continuous improvement and innovation of digital solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and sustainability goals in digital solution deployment.
Your profile:
**EXPERIENCE**:
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the mining, heavy equipment, or industrial technology sectors.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through digital product or technology solutions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, marketing, operations).
**KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION**:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Mining, or a related field.
- Specialized training or certifications in digital transformation, mining technology, automation, or data analytics is an asset.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) considered an advantage.
