Import/export Coordinator

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Plan and arrange the international IMPORT and EXPORT consignments according to client instructions and requirements
- Send pre-alert for export shipment and receive pre-alert documents for import consignments
- End to end monitoring of inbound and outbound movements.
- Opening of files and issuing notices of arrival and export AWB and BL for Sea and Air Shipments
- Booking of import/export air, FCL and LCL movements
- **Day to day invoicing and job costing**:
- Communication with overseas offices/partners
- **Obtaining release from shipping lines and airlines, when required**:
- Regularly updating customers monthly rates
- **Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting Manager**:
- **Minimum Education and Experience Requirements**: 1-2 years experience in logistics coordination
- **Experience in a freight forwarding company an asset**:
- Good telephone manner and customer service skills are essential
- **Attention to detail**:
- Friendly, calm and professional manner
- **Ability to handle pressure and good time-management**:
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team
- **Enthusiasm and self-motivated**:
- Previous experience/knowledge in freight forwarding preferred
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Commission pay
