**Job Title**: Safety and Compliance Coordinator

Location**: Acton, ON

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Regulatory Compliance**: Maintain thorough knowledge and compliance with all **transportation safety regulations** in Mexico, the U.S., and Canada.
- **Cross-Border Logistics**: Ensure adherence to **customs, DOT, and FMCSA requirements**, facilitating smooth border crossings.
- **Safety Audits & Training**: Conduct **safety inspections**, implement best practices, and lead training programs for teams.
- **Incident Investigation**: Analyze safety incidents, develop corrective action plans, and implement improvements.
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Prepare **compliance reports, risk assessments, and policy updates** based on regulatory changes.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and external authorities to uphold compliance standards.

**Qualifications**:

- **Bilingual**: Fluent in **Spanish and English** (spoken and written).
- **Industry Experience**: Proven expertise in the **Mexico transportation industry** with hands-on operational knowledge.
- **Regulatory Expertise**: Strong understanding of **cross-border regulations, import/export policies, and safety requirements** for North American operations.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Familiarity with **transportation software, customs documentation, and fleet management systems**.
- **Communication & Leadership**: Ability to coordinate teams, lead compliance efforts, and interact effectively with authorities.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Previous experience in **safety coordination, logistics compliance, or transportation management**.
- Knowledge of **NAFTA/USMCA trade policies and customs brokerage operations**.
