**TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION COORDINATOR**

We’re looking for an investigative and artistic individual with social responsibility and openness to become our **Translation and Interpretation Coordinator **to provide support to newcomers and internal programs of the organization in translation and interpretation services.

- A passion to connect with other individuals - like volunteers to provide translation and interpretation services
- Knowledge of settlement processes and available community services
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, organize one’s work records
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers to

Canada
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and volunteer management skills; must be able to develop and maintain rapport with volunteers
- Proficiency in Excel

**A little about what you’ll do**:

- Process client requests for translations and interpretations with use of appropriate volunteers
- Ensure adequate client needs assessment, information, and orientation for required service and urgency
- Design and maintain adequate record keeping system for translation/interpretation, and related orientation/referral and information services
- Design and execute necessary training for program volunteers
- Support volunteer recruitment and appreciation events
- Organize the annual Mother Language Day event
