**JOB TITLE**: Full-Time Program Coordinator (Community Supportive Living)

**REPORTS TO**: Program Manager, Mental Health

**DESCRIPTION**:
The CLS Program Coordinator supervises and oversees the services and operations of the Shared Housing, Transitional Housing Program, and Support Services for the Clients in the CLS Program. The position’s purpose is to plan, organize, coordinate, implement and support the provision of services to participating clients.

**EMPLOYEE CATEGORY**: Full-Time, Permanent

**HOURS OF WORK**:Monday to Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM

**SALARY RANGE**: Grid 38 - HEU - Community Subsector

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Mental Health Worker’s certificate or equivalent education.
- At least 2 years recent related work experience with individuals who are battling mental Illness.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
- OR - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience relevant to the level of work.
- A valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Familiarity with community resources.
- Excellent English written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize.
- Expertise in teaching self-care and self-help skills to clients.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation and the principles of recovery in the field of mental health.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

According to the psychosocial rehabilitation model and individual service plans, oversees provision and provides direct service of one to one client support services to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
- Supervises CLS staff by scheduling and assigning work, providing feedback and evaluation, determining training requirements, orienting new staff, and maintaining timekeeping and attendance records.
- Resolves staffing problems and ensures appropriate coverage is maintained.
- Leads and coaches staff as required and is the first level in the grievance process for those under their supervision.
- Maintains all relevant records and statistical reports; provides input into annual budget development and submits requests or recommendations to the Executive Director for property management and projection of maintenance issues or required modifications.
- Manages the monthly rent roll submissions for the Shared Housing, Transitional Housing and Irmin townhouses and notifies the Finance department and Program manager of any changes or updates in tenancies.
- Notifies the Property Manager and Program Manager of any maintenance issues in Progressive Housing Society owned houses.
- Assists our Program Manager with arranging contracted services for maintenance and landscaping for PHS houses and the Irmin townhouses.
- Provides or delegates the provision of after hours maintenance emergency for the Progressive Housing owned houses.
- Maintains communication with the Program Manager and Property Manager regarding client or property management issues at Irmin townhouses.
- Acts as liaison for Client/BCH issues in conjunction with our Program Manager.
- Oversees client participation by: reviewing intake information, interviewing potential clients, consulting with Community Support workers and Case Managers at Burnaby Mental Health regarding concerns.
- Provides direct support services to a caseload of approximately 5-10 clients, with a focus on the shared houses/transitional program and following the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $33.99 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
