**JOB TITLE**: Shelter Program Coordinator

**REPORTS TO**: Douglas Shelter Manager

**DESCRIPTION**:The Program Coordinator supervises and oversees the services and day to day operations of the 24/7 Shelter facilities. The Coordinator will be actively involved in providing direct service to clients as well as providing support and supervision to staff. The Coordinator will work with the Manager and staff in building a skilled, cohesive, collaborative team. The Coordinator will also work with the manager to ensure that program delivery is consistent with the policies, procedures, and Mission Statement of Progressive Housing Society

**EMPLOYEE CATEGORY**:Full-Time

**SALARY RANGE**: HEU Community Health Subsector - Grid 38

**NUMBER OF VACANCIES**: 1 (one) vacancy

**HOURS OF WORK**: Tuesday - Saturday 08:00-16:00

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field preferred; may consider equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years related experience in mental health
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a related field
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Personal vehicle for business related purposes
- Standard First Aid & CPR
- Non-Violence Crisis Intervention Training
- Naloxone Training
- Trauma Informed Practice
- Mental Health Recovery Model
- Successful clearance of a criminal record check

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervises and oversees the services and day to day operations of the 24/7 Shelter facilities.
- Actively involved in providing direct service to clients as well as providing support and supervision to staff.
- Works with the Manager and staff in building a skilled, cohesive, collaborative team.
- Works with the manager to ensure that program delivery is consistent with the policies, procedures, and Mission Statement of Progressive Housing Society.
- Other related duties, as required.

**Salary**: $33.00 per hour
