Our global leading range of pretreatment spraying systems is the foundation of the Uni-Spray name and a secondary proprietary line of packaging machinery wear parts adds additional diversity. Both proprietary product lines are complemented by our extensive custom injection molding, design and engineering services.

We currently have a DAY SHIFT opportunity, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm ( 8-hour shift) for a team-oriented experienced Injection Molding Manager.

The Molding Manager supports a team of Injection Molding Technicians & Technical Supervisor to meet or exceed expectations. The role is also responsible for the safety of all team members in the molding department. They must create a positive and open communication path for all team members and provide an opportunity for all to contribute.

This is a hands-on position with the majority of time spent on the production floor addressing molding activities. Including training and development of team, assigning work activities, managing schedules, ensuring daily production and quality goals are met, working closely with supporting departments and problem solving.

**Duties Include**:

- Management of the Molding team in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, and development
- Develop training plans for Molding Technicians and audit productivity
- Organize Tooling and Maintenance objectives, scheduling down time, plant improvements and production monitoring
- Support mold change, EOAT change, robot programing, process troubleshooting and training
- Trial and develop set up process for new/existing molded products and organize database of approved processes
- Drive continuous improvement and problem solving to meet goals and objectives
- Maintain high-level quality results to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Lead coaching for improvement and corrective action as required
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, quality issues, and co-ordinate support from other departments
- Ensure safety compliance in all areas of the molding department
- Ensure thorough compliance with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
- Back up to Technical Supervisor and Mold Tech duties during absence
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing plant as a Molding Supervisor or equivalent
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma preferred
- Experience with Injection molding set up, process and auxiliary equipment a must
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding process
- Strong understanding of equipment, tooling repairs and maintenance
- Strong understanding of plastic materials and conveyance equipment
- Evidence of ability to meet timelines and exceed quality expectations
- Proven leadership ability in a fast pace working environment
- Strong decision-making skills that maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity
- Strong computer skills, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint etc.
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving
- Knowledge of Robot and End-of-Arm Tooling used in Injection Molding
- Nissei, Arburg molding machine, Yushin, Wittmann robot experience would be an asset

**Experience**:

- Molding Supervisor: 5 years (preferred)
- Microsoft Excel: 3 years (preferred)
- Injection Molding Setup: 3 years (preferred)
