**Job Description**:
The Financial Analyst will work directly with the Manager of Finance, to support accounting activities, month end close, reconciliation and variance analysis with an aim to drive improved financial performance and support our business partners.

This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities
- Manage the general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Prepare the Monthly Financial reports and responding to inquiries and requests.
- Own the month-end process for balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Demonstrate accounting expertise by preparing and maintaining complex reconciliations.
- Prepare budget to actual variance analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and other finance team members.
- Manage auditor requests and submissions to external parties on behalf of the company.

Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Accounting
- Working towards CPA accounting program preferred
- 1-2 years work experience in accounting related role
- Experience in identifying, investigating, analyzing, and reporting variances.
- Excellent communication, organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Detailed oriented, with the ability to adapt to change.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel is required.
