**Kraken Robotics**is currently recruiting for a** Director, Project Management**to join our** Mount Pearl, Newfoundland or Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Office.**

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Director, Project Management will oversee and lead the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring the successful execution of projects across the organization. This role will be responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and management of the project management team, while aligning project outcomes with the company’s business goals. The Director will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive project success, ensure resources are effectively allocated, and maintain high standards of project delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Lead the PMO**: Establish and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), defining best practices, standards, and methodologies for project management across the organization.
- ** Strategic Project Oversight**: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major projects, ensuring they align with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- ** Team Leadership & Development**: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance on best practices, career development, and performance management.
- ** Stakeholder Management**: Act as a liaison between senior leadership and project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations.
- ** Budget & Resource Management**: Ensure projects are completed within budget, scope, and resources. Work with department heads to ensure the proper allocation of resources for project success.
- ** Risk Management**: Proactively identify project risks and issues, developing strategies to mitigate them and ensure project success.
- ** Performance Metrics & Reporting**: Define and track key project performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Drive continuous improvement within the PMO by identifying areas for optimization in project management processes, tools, and workflows.
- ** Cross-functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management.
- Skills working in a self-directed manner in a team environment, including personal workload management (organizing and prioritizing)
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines in a high-paced environment
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
- Experience with authoring tools (i.e. Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.) in the creation of online and print documents.
- Experience with system engineering gate process.
- Fluency in MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint
