**Salary**: $1,913.27 to $2,342.49 bi-weekly ($49,936 - $61,138/year)

The Public Safety & Emergency Services is responsible for all provincial correctional and remand centers, young offender programs and community corrections across the province.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Business Manager at the Calgary Remand Centre (CRC), you will be responsible for many key functions for the Calgary Remand Centre. You will ensure the completion of accurate and timely processing of various accounts payable transactions. You will purchase materials, equipment, supplies as well as issue vehicle fleet cards.

As you are responsible for both purchasing and accounts payable, additional responsibilities include:
**Purchasing**:

- Purchase all materials and supplies for the Centre, ensuring smooth operation.
- Research items that have been bought in the past and complete open purchase orders.
- Manage all hard copy forms unique to the Calgary Remand Centre
- Consult with the Centre’s Business Manager for arranging the renewal or upgrade of business machine contracts.

**Accounts Payable**:

- Monitor, track, and reconcile payments using IMAGIS.
- Ensure invoices are accurately and properly coded.
- Review statements from vendors and ensure timely payments.
- Create expense claims for all staff.

**Qualifications**:
A high school diploma and, one year of related experience (accounts payable clerk, purchasing coordinator, etc.)

Equivalencies: Directly related experience or education considered on a one for one basis.

The following will be considered assets:

- Working experience with the IMAGIS purchasing system.
- Working experience managing payments for a large (over 100 staff members) centre or office.
