Oakville, Canada THE MONITORING CENTER Full time

The Monitoring Center is an alarm company seeking a full time accounting clerk. This position requires a hardworking, detail-oriented applicant with accounting background and experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preform matching batching of vendor invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements
- GL entries for employee expense reports
- GL entries for inter-company transactions
- GL entries for foreign exchange
- Assist with monthly/ yearly closing entries to prepare financials

**Requirements**:

- College diploma in accounting
- At least 3 years recent and direct working experience in an accounting department
- Proven ability to work well both independently and part of a team
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills required (excel, and word)
- Ability to navigate and organise excel spreadsheets
- Ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines
- A self starter with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written (English)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

COVID-19 considerations:
The training for this position will be done in office. Once training is completed it will be a work from home position temporarily, we fully intend on return to the office in the future.
