**Salary**: $2,987.65 to $3,868.94 bi-weekly ($77,977- $100,979 /year)

**Role Responsibilities**:
As a Supervisor, you will utilize your solid leadership and team building skills to maintain and enhance a strong and effective team that embraces change. You will engage your team by setting both individual and unit goals and providing on-going case consultation and practice supervision. It is essential as Supervisor, that you are able to empower your team to have a positive mindset, collaborative skill sets and inclusive practice as they provide services to children, youth and families in the area’s wellness and support services.

Your strong focus on coaching and mentoring will guide the support and direction you provide to a team of Children's Services professionals working in Child Intervention Services. Your guidance will be rooted in the Child Intervention Practice Framework, Casework Practice Model, Signs of Safety Approach and a trauma informed practice lens, to ensure that services delivered are in accordance with accepted practices, standards and legislative requirements.

You will utilize your team building, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects and assignments that support better decisions for children, youth and families. Your well-developed interpersonal communication skills will enhance your ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**: Bachelor of Social Work or a Social Work Diploma

**Experience**:

- A related degree and 4 years of related experience or a related diploma and 5 years of related experience. Related education can include Bachelor of Social Work, Social Work Diploma, Bachelor of Child Studies/Child & Youth Care, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Health Sciences, Bachelor of Human Services, BA/BSc Psychology, BA Sociology, Bachelor of Community Rehab, BSc Family Studies/Human Ecology, BA Early Child Development, Law Degree, Addictions/Counseling Diploma, Child and Youth Care Diploma, and Criminal Justice Diploma.The following equivalencies maybe considered:

- Master of Social Work and 1-year related experience; or Related certificate and 6 years related experience.**Assets**:

- Previous leadership experience (formal or informal)
- Demonstrated, time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge/ability to speak an Indigenous language.
- Knowledge and ability to draw upon an Act Respecting First Nation, Metis and Inuit Children, Youth and Families. and how it relates to intervention practice.
- Actively engage with First Nations community cultural traditions and practices and awareness of protocols and customs.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with Indigenous communities and DFNA partners.
- Sound understanding of child intervention policy, practice and workflow as it relates to indigenous children. Understanding of Truth & Reconciliation**Competencies**:

**CI Practitioner Competencies**: Performing the Child Intervention Practitioner competencies with consistency at an advanced level of proficiency, according to the Child Intervention Practice Framework Principles, in order to provide practice supervision to CI staff.

Demonstrates the ability to lead with a focus on CI outcomes and ensure the work of one’s team is in alignment with these outcomes.
