**Job Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Camp Leaders to join our team. The Camp Leader will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children during camp activities. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and have a strong background in education or related fields. The Camp Leader will play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with campers, encouraging their growth, and ensuring a memorable camp experience. Camp location is dependent on planned outings.

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and fun.
- Supervise campers during all activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all campers feel valued.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive camp experience.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and teamwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp facilities and equipment.
- Be a positive role model and mentor for participants and always lead by example
- Demonstrable skill and enjoyment in working with children, an excellent understanding of school-aged children and knowledge of effective methods of managing, caring, and promoting positive behaviors with children.

**Skills**
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and practices
- Experience working with Indigenous children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong ability to educate and engage Indigenous children through creative programming.
- Background in tutoring or mentoring is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

**Qualifications of ALL camp staff**
- Preference will be given to applicants of FNMI descent
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Completed CPIC and IRC before start date
- Completion of college or university programs, minimum High School Diploma with equivalent experience preferred
- Great with children (ages 6 to 13 years)

**To Apply**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
