GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for a highly organized and detail oriented Shipping and Inventory Specialist to join our Material Assets and Compliance team
As the Shipping and Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for preparing and shipping products to customers while ensuring they meet company policy and regulations. Using your fine eye for detail, you will support inventory level management to establish accurate stock records. **Responsibilities**
**Shipping**:
- Prepare all necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they are secure and properly labelled.
- Ensure that all shipments comply with company policies and regulations, including safety and legal requirements.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues that arise.
- Maintain the company Shipping Log.
**Inventory Control**:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory quantities.
- Support inventory transfers and adjustments.
- Help perform regular inventory cycle counts & report discrepancies.
- Assist in generating inventory reports.
- Ensure proper labelling and storage of inventory items.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1 year experience in shipping/logistics and inventory control.
- Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with shipping and inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
