We currently have a **Regular Full-time** **opportunity for a **Decision Support Consultant **in the** Decision Support **Department at our **Bayview **Campus.

**Hours of Work**:
Weekdays: Days, 8hrs

**Summary of Duties**

Reporting to the Manager of Coding, Data Quality and Reporting Services, Decision Support, the consultant Analyze, interpret, consult, present and make recommendations on information to support strategic planning, budgeting, restructuring, program optimization and quality initiatives. Tasks include:

- Perform aggregation and presentation of clinical, financial and utilization data to inform strategic planning and facilitate evidence-based decision making at the local and system level
- Proactively demonstrate the value of analytics by generating insightful dashboards; report and present trending information associated with program targets for both internal and external stakeholders
- Corporate and program utilization analysis including trends and prediction of clinical volumes, weighted cases and resource utilization
- Clinical and performance benchmarking
- Proposal and business case development for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze and respond to requests for Ontario Health, OH-Cancer Care Ontario and other agencies

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Baccalaureate degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Applied Math or other quantitative discipline required, Master’s degree including healthcare administration or MBA would be an asset. Five (5) years’ experience in a health care setting
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Knowledge of key administrative data including ALR, DAD, NACRS, OMHRS and NRS and associated case mix methodologies.
- Experience in the use of statistical or financial information in a health care environment
- Advance experience or training in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Knowledge of SQL and other programming languages and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, SSRS)
- Advanced problem-solving, and project management skills
- Able to work with mínimal supervision, manage own time, and prioritize projects
- Ability to work co-operatively with all levels of hospital staff and physicians
