**Location**: Multimatic Ride Dynamics, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

**Position Overview**:
Multimatic Ride Dynamics (MRD) is one of the newest of Multimatic’s North American divisions. Multimatic Ride Dynamics is looking for a **Materials Co-op Student** who will assist the Materials department in increasing company profitability and improving employee work conditions. Maintain materials record files and the materials database.

**Plant Location**: Multimatic Ride Dynamics - 1100 Stackhouse Road, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8E4, Canadaa

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist the materials team to maintain Inventory Control.
- Assist in the preparation of Non Production Build shipments NPBS’s.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of supplier packaging for all products.
- Assist the materials team to track all upcoming Engineering Change Notices's.
- Maintain current, pending, and obsolete materials files (i.e. documents, drawings, specifications, systems, vendor files).
- Generate reports, graphs, and correspondence as assigned.
- Copy and distribute forms and/or reports as assigned.
- Update and maintain purchase requisitions as assigned.
- Develop and maintain all materials work instructions.
- Advise Management of any potential problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager.
- Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA.
- Work in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO and 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.

**Education and Experience**:

- Must be enrolled in a college or university program in a related field.
- Proficient computer skills in the areas of MRP, SAP, Windows, Excel, Word
- Self-motivated and work under limited supervision.
- Comprehensive understanding of lot traceability.
- Ability to work in a very busy environment.
- Be able to pick and pack orders
- Good mathematical skills
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
