The Clarendon Ottawa is looking for a Chef de Cuisine;
The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, leading, and creating a team environment, delivering consistent quality dishes to ensure our guests experience is exceptional. Additional responsibilities will also include reporting costing and budget for all food, labour and maintaining accurate inventory.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in a similar role where you are working with all in house made items / ingredients
- Have the ability to teach & lead a team with patience and positive support
- Able to stay calm and well organized in a fast pace environment
- Great verbal and written skills, for ordering, staff direction, recipe logs and managerial type work
**Responsibilities include (not limited to)**:
- Maintain a high level of quality and consistency with food preparation and presentation according to Chefs menu and instructions.
- Training of staff, ensuring food safety practices are followed and quality meets standards, staff scheduling
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, fridge and all other food areas
- Collaborate with Chef on new and current dishes.
- Order product and ensuring deliveries are up to standards and correct.
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
