**Job Duties**:

- The applicant must have a good understanding of plant health, common disease, and insect lifecycles, capable of effectively managing key growth factors such as nutrition, pest and disease, watering practices, environmental controls and equipment, etc.
- Ability to work well with employees to ensure activities that relate to growing are being done using techniques that are efficient and meet or improve quality control standards.
- Must effectively monitor developmental factors such as nutrition, pest and disease, moisture, light levels and communicates with staff in order to maintain quality control.
- Maintains a current knowledge of growing techniques and growing equipment within the industry and provides input into equipment and facility upgrades and replacements.
- Establish the environmental conditions required to grow shrubs, flowers and plants
- Supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying stock
- Order materials such as fertilizer, garden and lawn care equipment, and other nursery and greenhouse related accessories

**Working Conditions**:

- Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
- Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Langley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
