**Job description**

**Primary Role**

As a retail sales associate, you will be responsible for assisting clients with the purchasing of the best curly hair care products and wigs for their needs.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Learns and applies training knowledge of wavy, curly and afro-textured hair care, hair products and wigs in order to best recommend products to customers
- Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner and provides outstanding, genuine and helpful customer service
- Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
- Assists with inventory, including receiving, counting and stocking merchandise.
- Opening and closing the store and performing open and closing duties
- Booking of wig fitting appointments and occasionally conducting them when necessary
- Cleans, sanitizes and organizes the store
- Cashes out customers, handles debit/credit machine and cash payments, takes down and looks up customer information.
- Printing, pulling and packing online orders into their appropriate shipping boxes
- Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
- With assistance, creating social media content within the storefront

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- Conducting virtual consultations with clients in need of assistance with their products and/or wigs
- Assisting in the booking of wig fitting appointments via phone
- Participating in social media content creation for Beauty Club Outlet digital advertising campaigns
- Participating in vendor shows, workshops and other related company events

**Preferred Skills**
- Minimum of 6 months to 2 years of retail experience and/or customer service experience (this is preferred but not necessarily required)
- Experience with or interest in the knowledge of wavy, curly and afro-textured hair
- Strong computer writing and navigation skills
- Above average people skills

**Qualifications and Education Requirements & Preferences**
- Must have a High School Diploma or the current acquisition of a High School Diploma
- Minimum of 6 months experience within the retail industry
- Must have an understanding of or have personal experience with wavy, curly or afro-textured hair

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4-5 months
Part-time hours: 20-32 per week

**Salary**: $16.25 per hour

Day range:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

COVID-19 considerations:
We wear masks upon requests of wig clients who feel comfortable with us wearing one and we sanitize the store and wig fitting areas routinely.
