**Position Description**:
The Cedar Chest Thrift Store is a fundraising effort of Cambridge Christian School. It is a volunteer based thrift shop that benefits the general public by providing quality used goods at affordable prices and raises funds in support of Cambridge Christian School and other local charities and ministries.

**Required Commitment**
- Follower of Jesus Christ who wholeheartedly subscribes to the Values, Mission, and Vision of Cambridge Christian School
- In fulfilling your responsibilities, you will be required to pray with people who work or volunteer for the store. This includes, but is not limited to opening in prayer and devotions at the beginning of each work day.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Managing volunteers, which involves scheduling, training and regular communication.
- Recruiting new volunteers
- As required, providing support to the volunteer workforce by performing sorting, pricing, cleaning, and cashier duties.
- Ensuring adequate inventory and maintaining store appearance.
- Using social media and sales promotions/initiatives to increase store sales.
- Liaising with competitors to stay current on industry knowledge including pricing
- Maintaining relationships with vendors
- Ensuring adequate policies and procedures for safe, efficient, and consistent operation of the store, along with adhering to health and safety protocols and policies.
- Written and verbal communication to the Store Management Committee

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively lead, motivate, and encourage a team of volunteers
- Strong customer service insight, with a friendly demeanour and attitude
- Organizational skills to simultaneously manage multiple priorities
- Strong business sense
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Google Suite of programs
- Familiarity with budgeting and and meeting financial goals
- Ability to create store displays that are current and inviting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Experience Requirements**

**Position Details**
- This is a full time position based on 40 hours per week
- Compensation will be based on experience within the salary range of $46,549 and $54,286 annually
- This position has an expected start date of April 2025.

Pay: $46,549.00-$54,286.00 per year
