**The position at a glance**

GBO Product Control in Americas BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking is a department that handles T+1 controls, operational systems reconciliations, production support for the credit and transaction banking departments, assists with the migrations, billing process and other transversal responsibilities. The Group also facilitates changes to operational process by tracking strategic projects and implementing tactical efficiencies. In addition, this group prepares upper management reports on Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators.

**In detail**

The Role will cover transformation topics for the above scope, tactical automations, support for strategic automations & contributions to system migrations. The internship will provide an overview of Global Banking Products, as well as the operations setup and associated controls.
- The team members are responsible of the following activities:

- Assist on projects including but not limited to system upgrades, implementations, & automations.
- Design, test and implement improvements for the control & reconciliations workflows revising legacy setup using LEAN approach & tools like VBA, Python, Power BI, etc.
- Contributions to Strategy and Governance around scalability and sustainability of automation projects
- Collaboration with various departments to reach resolutions for outstanding issues
- Investigating and resolving break items
- Make a direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
- Assist with ad-hoc duties and reporting as assigned.

Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday.

**The strengths and skills that will help you succeed**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or similar in progress.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, VBA, Power BI)
- Change agent with exemplary attitude: innovative, enthusiastic, rigorous, execution oriented
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with confidence and composure at all levels of the business hierarchy
- Highly skilled multi-tasker with efficient organization skills
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
