Newmarket, Canada DAIRY QUEEN GRILL & CHILL Full time

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist in the oversight of all aspects of the restaurant operation. You will focus on ensuring the best guest experience with high standards for service and quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete daily opening and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies
- Coordinate with management for on-the-job training of new staff members
- Operate cash register and void transactions as needed while following company cash handling policies and procedures, and maintain proper security of cash at all times
- Implement product rotation based on product code dates in storage
- Order product and participates in physical inventory counts as required
- Resolve customer complaints in a manner consistent with company policy, and with customer satisfaction in mind
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies food standards
- Monitor compliance with safety guidelines, build awareness about safety, and report any safety concerns to management
- Greet customers, initiate and complete customer transactions quickly and accurately
- Prepare products quickly and accurately, while following all preparation, health and safety standards and guidelines
- Operate and maintain food/drink/treat related equipment and registers properly and safely.
- Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of work area, Stock and execute proper rotation of products
- Work as a team member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness and value to each customer
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management staff or shift leaders

**Qualifications**:

- 1 year of quick service restaurant experience
- Dairy Queen experience preferred
- Good verbal skills to communicate with guests, staff and management
- Physically able to perform light to medium lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and walking
- Previous experience in food service is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 0-40 per week

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
