**Job Overview**:
Safehaven Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)** to join our team and improve the lives of the children we work with. In this role, you will coordinate speech-language pathology services and contribute to a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to client care. You will play a pivotal role in making day-to-day decisions, guiding team members on diverse complex cases (such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and other diverse needs), and ensuring therapy practices align with professional standards and regulations.

This position emphasizes delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to individual client needs, fostering improved communication, language development, and social interaction skills. It also involves program development, operational planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

**Assessment and Planning**:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized therapy plans targeting communication goals and specific client needs.

**Therapeutic Intervention**:

- Deliver evidence-based interventions to address speech and language delays, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, and social communication challenges.
- Provide strategies for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and progress monitoring.

**Family and Support Aide Collaboration**:

- Provide training and resources to families and support aides to reinforce progress at home and in the community.
- Maintain open and supportive communication to address any concerns or adjustments needed.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Accurately document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate effectively with other professionals as required.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with Alberta.
- Experience in case management, pediatrics, or community care preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and therapeutic principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment while maintaining a client-centered approach.

- A minimum of 1 year of work experience.
