Safety Advisor/ Office Administration

G & M Plumbing & Heating is looking to hire a Health and Safety Advisor/office administration responsible for providing leadership and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements of various projects. As a Health and Safety advisor, you play an important role in ensuring that G&M’s safety culture has been established and adhered to in the field. You will be required to familiarize yourself with related work procedures in order to monitor, audit and report your findings and corrective actions to your supervisor, as well as providing support, advice and administrative assistance with matters relating to safety, mentoring and training workers in the field in all matters relating to Health and Safety.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation, and applicable standards to meet regulatory requirements, such as fall protection, confined space entry plans, lock-out/tag-out, ground disturbance, etc.
- Prepare for and participate in COR Audits to ensure good standing with the ACSA. Regularly review and create action plans as required to maintain COR certification.
- Provide safety support and training to all site managers, supervisors, and workers. Including orientation to the company and project specific orientations to ensure all documentation is completed.
- Prepare monthly safety reports.
- Coordinating travel arrangements including flights, visas/passports, cars, hotels, and other reservations
- General office duties, such as answering phones, greeting customers, taking payment when required.
- Printing and providing blueprints to the appropriate managers when requested.
- Preparing Operation and Maintenance manuals for projects when required, including scanning as-built drawings and collecting required documents.
- Assisting with Leed project submittals.
- Purchasing and maintaining safety supplies.
- Assisting with planning staff events.
**Knowledge/ Skills**:
- Must possess valid Driver's License
- Experienced and capable of using computers.
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Effective organizational skills
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
