**Position Summary**:
An Inbound Planner trainee assist Planner to manage and coordinates all Northbound (Return) Planning of Assets upon completion of delivery. Inbound Planning trainee coordinates with Planner for ensuring that assets are efficiently and strategically planned for reloads while maintaining a low empty mile percentage. Inbound planning is also responsible for ensuring that the Rate Per Mile (RPM) target set out by management is met, keeping each overall roundtrip is above the set average. Inbound Planning trainee is responsible for booking inbound reloads, maintaining customer relationships and building strategic relationships in order to achieve consistent, market (or above) rates and dedicated volumes.

**Duties to perform**:
SCHEDULE AND PLAN WEEKLY LOADS ON WEEKLY LOADS BASED ON REQUIREMENT GIVEN BY CSR.

MONITOR AND PLAN ANY ADD OR CANCEL LOADS BY CSR/CUSTOMER AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

PLAN AND DISPATCH ASSETS IN TIMELY MANNER TO MEET CUSTOMER EXPECTATION

ENSURE 100% UTILISATION OF COMPANY ASSETS ( TRUCK /TRAILER)

ENSURE ALL THE TRUCKS ARE MANNED AND REPORT DAILY IF ANY TRUCKS ARE UNMANNED TO TEAM LEAD - WEEKLY

MAINTAIN AND MANAGE REQUIRED TRAILER POOL AT CUSTOMER LOCATION AND PROVIDE DAILY REPORT - DAILY

REVIEW AND PLAN BACKHAULS REQUIRED FOR TRUCKS AND INFORM OPEN BOARD TEAM ACCORDINGLY

MAINTAIN GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH CSR FOR ANY UPDATES OR CRITICAL SHIPMENTS

ATTEND PHONE CALLS FROM DRIVERS /STAFF AND RESOLVE ANY ONGOING ISSUES

REVIEW IDLE TRAILER REPORT DAILY AND PLAN TO MOVE FOR ANY ASSET FOR IDLE MORE THEN 4 DAYS - WEEKLY

MONITOR AND PROVIDE WEEKLY REPORT ON MICHIGAN CITY DRIVERS HOURSS - WEEKLY

REVIEW AND REPORT SHORTAGE OF FREIGHT FOR COMPANY DRIVERS AND OWNER OPERATORS WEEKLY - WEEKLY

ENSURE ALL THE COMPANY ASSETS ARE PARKED IN COMPANY FACILTITY, NO DRIVER SHOULD TAKE TRUCKS TO HIS HOME

ENSURE DM IS ADVISING CSR FOR ANY WAITING TIME AT SHIPPER /RECEIVER - ADDING NOTE IN FLEET MANGER AS HE INFORM

ENSURE DRIVER MANAGER IS PERFORMING HIS JOB DUTIES PROPERLY

ENSURE DM IS USING 8X8 APP AND IS LOGGING INTO THE QUE DAILY

AVOID ANY EXPEDITES / LATE LOADS AND PENALITIES - WEEKLY REVIEW FOR MISTAKES

REDUCE EMPTY MILES FOR ASSETS BY PLANNING

PLAN ALL THE LTL LOADS TO PICKUP AND DELIVER ON TIME

PROVIDE WEEKLY MILEAGE REPORT AS PER ASSET PLANNING - WEEKLY

ENSURE ALL THE ACCESORIAL CHARGES ARE MENTIONED IN THE ORDER NOTES IF REQUIRED

CONSOLIDATE RACKS TRAILER AND PROVIDE WEEKLY REPORT - WEEKLY

PLAN RECOVERY FOR ANY BREAKDOWN TRUCKS

REPLY TO EMAIL FROM ACCOUNTING AND SAFETY IN TIMELY MANNER

PROVIDE LIST OF BREAKDOWN AND UNAMNNED TRUCKS BY FRIDAY EVERY WEEK

WORK CLOSELY WITH SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ANY TRUCK/TRAILER REPAIRS

ENSURE ALL THE CUSTOM IS CLEARED FOR THE TRUCKS THAT ARE DISPATCHED BUT ARE YET TO DEPRT FROM YARD - DAILY SHIFT REPORT

SEND DAILY SHIFT REPORT TO TEAM LEAD / MANAGER

ASSIST ACCOUNTING IF ANY ISSUES WITH POD'S

ENSURE NO DRIVERS ARE BLOCKING CAMERAS WHILE DRIVING

ENSURE GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE DRIVERS

MAINTAIN LANEWISE TRAILERS REPORT AS PER BID - WEEKLY REPORT

Position

Booking Inbound
**Reloads**
- Sourcing customer/broker rates
- Projecting market conditions and price tolerance for revenue calculation
- Reload efficiency (Gross Revenue vs Overall RPM vs Empty/Loaded miles)
- Pre-booking reloads prior to units becoming empty/available.

**Planning Assets**
- Ensuring that all reloads, and their requirements meet Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and are planned on available assets accordingly.
- Minimizing number of empty miles between unload point vs reload point.
- Continuous communication with supporting departments prior to committing to delivery
requirements.
- Live load situations unless exception granted by management.

**Customer Service**
- Maintaining
a professional and loyal relationship with all brokers/customers
- Ensures
that all customer requirements are adhered to and properly communicated to
supporting team.
- Communicates
any service delays or failures to the customer/customer service representative
prior to the occurrence.
- Ensures
that all pickup and delivery requirements are met to appropriate service
levels.
