The Manager of Product Development will participate in overall product strategy, research development and project coordination for new and emerging products. This will include managing the product lifecycle from concept through implementation ensuring corporate objectives are optimized. Responsible for producing both business and technical requirements for products and programming, the Manager will complete market analysis and collaborate with key internal stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Care and Operations. The Manager will implement project management procedures for tracking product development, conduct test and pilot runs for new products and train employees on implementing new products and services.
**The role entails the following responsibilities**:
- Defines and proves out technical, complex, net-new, or key strategic solutions and products.
- Encompasses wireline Business and Residential products, with focus on Internet, customer networking, and Telephone, but can include other services such as value-adds, video and mobile products.
- Optimizes and manages life-cycle of current products and solutions.
- Ensures high quality, low-risk, well defined products from Engineering that will sustain internal stakeholder customers, external customers, and the business into the future.
- Nurtures cable/telco industry knowledge and relationships by attending vendor presentations, industry events, workshops and conferences.
- Able to communicate effectively with many interfacing teams and senior management and occasionally provide training.
