**The Job**

The Retail Assistant works in our Ciderhouse selling bottled cider and related products and acting as a brand ambassador under the direction of the Retail Coordinator. Work involves restocking shelves, cleaning and tidying the Store and inventory storage areas, answering customer questions, processing payments, packing up purchases, assisting customers with taking their purchases to their cars (if necessary), and assisting with inventory counts, re-orders, Cider Club pack ups, online orders, merchandising, seasonal displays, signage and decor.

**About You**

This position is ideally suited to a positive, friendly person who is looking for a part time year round position and is excited by the opportunity to work for a community-minded, growth-oriented, family-owned, farm-based business. In addition, you have:

- Education: Secondary school completion
- Vocational experience: some experience in sales or customer service preferred
- Industry experience: some experience in food & beverage, retail or hospitality preferred
- Relationships: a gift for customer service, resolving customer complaints successfully, and avoiding complaints in the first place.
- Communication skills: strong
- Personal aptitude: curiosity, great listening skills and openness to feedback. Ability to work well with others and to jump in to help when needed.
- Work week flexibility: able to work weekends
- The physical strength to safely and manually carry cases of cider, and the physical stamina to work on your feet for hours at a time.
- A desire to work for a business that is growing and seeking to continually improve
