Promotions & Local Marketing Associate

The measure of success of the Promotions and Local Marketing Associate is to drive flyer purchasing, promotional events, merchandising and local marketing to better our brand image, increase our brand awareness and improve the overall customer experience with promotional items and events.
They do this by:
- Making informed and data driven decisions across flyer and market buying, and implementation of in-store promotional materials and visual merchandising
- Merchandising store layouts, seasonal displays and product launches according to company standards.
- Driving local marketing and brand awareness through a range of marketing platforms.
**Responsibilities**
**Promotional Ordering/Purchasing**
- Review and manage weekly flyers, rebuys, RSC events.
- Utilizes data to formulate flyer
- Reviews weekly HHSL reports - Backorder, Canceled By Dealer, Canceled By Home, Currently Not Available, Sold Out For Season.
- Run daily sales reports to monitor sales trends and promotional activity
- Review flyer signage to ensure signage is not missing
- Analyze sales and inventory data to create replenishment orders for key vendor direct accounts
- Attends Bi-Annual markets
**Merchandising**
- Power Aisle Planning
- Execute merchandising of end caps and side panels
- Execute seasonal changeovers
- Merchandising analytics - understanding how to use the POS system to merchandise
- Provides assistance and direction as required to merch team with receiving inbound Home trucks
- Review Dealer receiving reports to plan for truck day and provide direction for staff as needed for large volume orders, price busters etc.
- Assist with putting away stock on truck days
- Capable of providing customer service on the floor and sales desk as required
**Marketing**
- Develops and executes a social media strategy that engages with the community and betters our brand image
- With direction from management creates a weekly pylon sign schedule that considers all promotional and seasonally relevant opportunities and that aligns with social media and other local advertising efforts.
- Has an aptitude or a proficiency with graphic design tools. I.e. Canva
- Has an eye for good photography. I.e. Composition, lighting, focus, focal point etc.
- Works with Management to utilize Co-Op dollars. I.e. Beauti-Tone
- Leads event planning committees - Christmas parties, Christmas parade, Turtlefest, BBQs, staff lunches, etc
**Qualifications**
- Has a strong knowledge of the home improvement industry
- Possesses excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Spatial creativity - Ability to construct an aesthetically pleasing display
- Retail-minded - Able to work closely with customers in a positive manner
- Ability to work Saturday’s
