**Job Description**:
The Digital Learning Specialist possesses strong adult learning skills to train and support users with the clinical and business requirements of the current Heath Information System (Meditech) and other digital clinical tools that support best practices and patient care at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. The Digital Learning Specialist provides training support to clerical staff pertaining to the HIS and clinical workflows. The Digital Learning Specialist conducts education and coaching using a variety of modalities to support information transfer, knowledge acquisition and measure stakeholder competencies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide initial onboarding and ongoing training on the HIS for clerical staff.
- Consults and collaborates with employees and leadership to facilitate, engage and positively influence the instructional and training environment.
- Development and updating of instructional guides, content development based on department workflows and evaluation etc.)
- Work with Human Resources to devise mechanisms to support scheduling of classroom participants
- Provide feedback on education support materials and assists in updating materials for specific end user populations
- Conduct preparation for educational classes, developing in-depth knowledge of training material and the system functionality supporting system workflows.
- Manage all training logistics including setting up classrooms, sending invites to training participants, taking attendance, etc. and organizing training manuals and technical aids including manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Monitor and collect end user feedback from classroom participants of training and lessons plans, sharing feedback with stakeholders in order to facilitate continuing improvement.
- Identify individuals who require additional educational support
- Identify and communicate training gaps and inefficiencies to leadership
- Contribute to resistance management identification, planning and execution
- Administer end user proficiency assessment and checklists
- Identify and escalate issues to the Management as needed
- Collaborate with the department leadership to develop mitigation strategies for end users to support increased adoption
- Provide direct end-user support and coaching to optimize skills
- Work with clinical educators, informatics, HIM and Decision Support to identify learning needs and to address those with individual staff, units or programs.
- Identify areas for Data Quality improvement that impact funding and data quality
- Evaluate workflows in areas to find efficiencies, provide written summaries and options for process revisions where required
- Meditech experience is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (proficiency in English writing and grammar) is required
- Knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Word is required
- Regular attendance is required
- Other duties as assigned
