We’re looking for a proven Digital Transformation Technical Manager who can drive successful programs and maximize growth and performance with a digital transformation team of Solution Engineers. Someone with experience developing and nurturing strategic executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, and other regional growth influences. A leader capable of not only driving growth, but also passionate about creating an inclusive environment that enables their team to do their best work. The Digital Transformation Technical Manager is a key contributor to the Americas Global Sales & Marketing (GSM). This role reports to the Digital Transformation Technical Officer of North America and may reside in any place within the continental United States.
**What you will do**
The Digital Transformation Smart Manufacturing Technical Manager will understand and evangelize the Rockwell Digital Transformation IT/OT convergence story that includes the best of Rockwell hardware, software, services, and digital innovation. This manager will be responsible for driving strategic account digital transformation opportunities and creating the necessary curated content and customer specific assets that drive customer value - in the modern way customers want to buy.
The Digital Transformation Smart Manufacturing Technical Manager’s primary focus is leading a team of Digital Transformation Smart Manufacturing Solution Engineers in providing best practices and guidance on machine-to-machine (M2M) and/or cognitive computing technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning or deep learning, all of which Smart Machines will use to reason, problem-solve, make decisions and even, ultimately, take action.
The Digital Transformation Smart Manufacturing Technical Manager is technical, so mentoring and developing both skills and career paths of direct reporting Solution Engineers is key. The depth-and-breadth of tools and the knowledge of industries this team possesses is extensive, so choosing the perfect leader is crucial. This team will support technologies such as: Integrative Platforms (IIoT), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Quality Management System (QMS). Supply Chain Planning (SCP), Production Monitoring, MES Automation & Orchestration, Asset Performance Management (APM). Although this is not an exhaustive listed, it provides some of the day-to-day activities of this specific team’s focus.
The Digital Transformation Smart Manufacturing Technical Manager helps identify growth opportunities for Digital Manufacturing and Operations, Smart Connected Assets, and Digital Innovation including the identification of future technology needs. The position is responsible to develop and drive the Rockwell Automation digital transformation value proposition leading the adoption of software, connected services, consulting, solutions, and annuity business model. Responsibilities includes contributing to the growth of the business, including market analysis based on industry insights, business development, sales enablement, and go to market strategy for Rockwell strategic accounts.
