We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Receptionist and Medical Office Administrator who shares our commitment to excellence and is eager to contribute to our mission.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet patients and process registrations with warmth and professionalism
- Schedule, manage, and update patient appointments, ensuring a seamless experience
- Process payments, private and OHIP insurance claims, and financing options
- Expertly handle Telus PSS EMR Suite to manage electronic medical records and accomplish work efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean, accurate, and organized front desk and filing system
- Prepare, file, and maintain patient charts for the clinic’s doctors
- Direct patients to the appropriate examination rooms and document patient vitals, such as blood pressure, heart rate, weight, and height
- Assist in the preparation and administration of vaccines/immunizations as needed, or demonstrate a strong interest in expanding responsibilities in this area
- Assist the team in keeping facilities tidy, organized, and clean
- Manage office supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Understand and ensure patient confidentiality and discretion at all times

Qualifications:

- Associate degree or higher in medical/healthcare administration or related fields OR 1-2 years of experience as a medical office administrator
- Familiarity with the medical industry and health services
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
- Strong computer skills, including extensive experience with Telus PSS EMR Suite
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding
- Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating adaptability and collaboration
- Capacity to multi-task and thrive in a busy, dynamic environment
- Problem-solving and time management skills to efficiently address challenges
- Personable with strong communication skills, fostering positive relationships with patients and colleagues
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Interest or experience in broadening responsibilities or prior experience in preparing and administering vaccines or immunizations is a strong additional asset

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
