A Family Physician is seeking Medical Office Assistants for a full-time permanent position. The applicants will be dependable, organized, and demonstrate the ability to provide good service to patients and their families in a professional and compassionate manner. Ideal for someone who plans to make this job as a career.

Job description:

The roles include but are not limited to,

  • Booking appointments, welcome and register patients for scheduled appointment

  • Verify patient information and OHIP validation

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls

  • Process faxes, emails, and referrals

  • Photocopy, scan and upload necessary reports to patients' charts,

  • Prepare vaccines for immunization

  • Ordering office supplies

  • Ensure cleanliness of the offices and exam rooms

  • Maintaining cleanliness and autoclaving of equipment

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Diploma from community college in Medical Office Administration
  • 1-2 years experience as Medical Office Assistant is preferred, application from recent graduates also welcomed
  • Adept in using Microsoft Office
  • EMR experience required, preferably PS Suites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Types: Full-time Permanent

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional 1-2 Saturdays per 6 months may be needed
