**Rowdy's Indian Restaurant & Bar** is looking for a **Head Chef **to join our team at **Cambridge, ON.**
As a **Head Chef at Rowdy's**, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for **preparing and cooking a diverse range of Indian dishes**. Your creativity, expertise, and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant and satisfying the discerning palates of our customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold food quality and safety standards.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook a variety of **Indian dishes **with precision and flair
- Develop and refine recipes to showcase the unique flavors of **Indian cuisine**:
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Oversee food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and cooking ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient order execution
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for kitchen supplies as needed
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations in Indian cuisine
- Assist in menu planning and development as required
**Requirements**:
- **Proven experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant **or similar culinary setting **(Minimum of 2-3 years of experience)**:
- In-depth knowledge of **Indian cuisine, spices, and cooking techniques**:
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with flavors and ingredients
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch dishes
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 40 per week
**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:
